Back to work tomorrow after a 4 day weekend- since 2 of those were flood days i am curious to see what kind of damage my office has sustained. This parking lot  for the Portsmouth Court House is not far from where I work. In the background you can see the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The ships moored there including the USS Iwo Jima were being blown about so much they had to get tugboats out to hold them in place.

The boat ramp at city Park. To the left is a public dock that is completely submerged and to the right is the walk-way that runs around the park.

Only one of the Elizabeth River Ferry Boats was running. The one towards the back of the picture had lights on. The one towards the front was tied in and was being blown around by the wind.

Dad and I braved the elements to get a few photos of the storm. The little black dots at the front of the picture are the moorings for the boats- normally they sit about 10 feet above water.

I have been missing my sister and our time spent together in Japan earlier this year. I am so excited that she is coming home for a visit in a few weeks. Since I am being nostalgic I have the need to post more pictures from my trip. Please excuse the excess. This is Susan and our friend and traveling buddy Stacy.
